Our Impact

Here are a few of the projects and activities that are on going at the lake. It takes everyone to keep the lake vibrant and healthy. Please consider volunteering or becoming involved in some way!

We have had an active diver program for several decades. Volunteer divers hand pull milfoil from the lake. If you would like to join our fabulous dive team, please click the “I’d love to help” button and let us know! Dave Kluttz, who is the owner of Lakeland Restoration, is so impressed with our program and the volunteers at Diamond Lake that he donated diving equipment worth  $3,000.00 to our program last year. Thanks so much Dave!  We have contracted with Lakeland Restoration to perform our annual herbacide program. This program is vital to the health of our lake.  Without yearly herbicide treatment, invasive species – especially the Reed Canary Grass,  Yellow Flag Iris, and Milfoil multiply rapidly and create the need for greater amounts of acres that need treatment. That can translate into detrimental conditions and higher costs. Because we treat consistently, our costs remain level or go down.
